At Better Days Psychiatry, we believe that the best days of your life are still ahead of you. We are here to help you recognize that better days are not as far away as they may seem—they are as close as you allow them to be.
Stephanie Feliu, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Founder, Better Days Psychiatry
With over 10 years of experience in the healthcare field, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. I became a Registered Nurse in 2013 and later earned board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018, specializing in surgical oncology and breast disease. My background includes correctional nursing, oncology, ICU, and gynecology. Recently, I completed my postmaster’s certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Miami, enhancing my ability to provide comprehensive mental health care and a holistic approach to patient well-being.
I was born in New York, grew up in North Carolina, and raised in Miami. I am a proud descendant of Dominican parents. My ability to speak both English and Spanish allows me to connect with a diverse range of clients. Growing up in a military household, I developed a deep understanding and respect for the challenges faced by service members, particularly when it comes to their mental health and the long-term impact their experiences can have on daily life. I hold a special place in my heart for the armed services, and I am incredibly grateful for the sacrifices our heroes make.
Currently, I live in Miami with my two beautiful children, who motivate me every day to be the best version of myself. As a mother, I relate to the struggles of balancing work, family, and self-care. My passion lies in helping others prioritize their mental health and well-being—whether through talk therapy or a combination of pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches. I am committed to helping my clients find their voice, overcome challenges, and lead fulfilling lives.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling with friends, journaling, reading, and listening to music, which helps me recharge and stay connected to my own well-being.
At Better Days Psychiatry, we work together to ensure that mental health is a priority, not just a need.
Better Days Psychiatry was born from the experiences of a tired, overworked single mother struggling to balance her mental health, personal life, and multiple jobs. For so long, I felt like I was on autopilot—knowing that better days were ahead, but they felt so far out of reach. The biggest challenge was finding the time and energy to even make an appointment to seek help.
After years of stretching myself thin, I made the conscious decision to prioritize my mental health. I began saying “no” to opportunities that didn’t align with my well-being and the path I wanted to create. This was the turning point—when I realized that mental health support shouldn’t come with barriers or limitations.
That’s when the vision for Better Days Psychiatry took shape. I was determined to create a service that was accessible, flexible, and supportive for individuals from all walks of life—people who, like me, needed to take control of their mental health but felt that life often got in the way. A service where every person can feel supported, empowered, and hopeful about the future.
At Better Days Psychiatry, we believe that the best days of your life are still ahead of you. We are here to help you recognize that better days are not as far away as they may seem—they are as close as you allow them to be.
